Schools Programme

Northampton Town Football Club Football in the Community Programme is a professional outfit that have assisted Northamptonshire schools deliver high quality physical education and extra-curricular clubs across a wide range of activities. We are very proud of our relationship with many of the schools in the county with strong links enabling us to cover new areas, make essential partnerships, and have lots of fun whilst linking every activity we do to the national curriculum.

FITC have compiled a comprehensive programme that provides qualified, enthusiastic, experienced coaches to deliver practical sessions during curriculum time or out of school hours (breakfast, lunchtime or after school).

PPA Time

Northampton Town Football Club Football in the Community Programme can provide coaches with a minimum FA Level 2 coaching certificate, along with a current and valid FA Safeguarding Workshop, FA Emergency Aid Certificate and an Enhanced CRB disclosure certificate to relive teaching staff during their 10% PPA non-contact time. We work closely with the respective school Partnership Development Managers and PE Advisors to ensure that all staff has an understanding of the national curriculum, the four key learning strands and to ensure that all lessons differentiate and assess the pupils to ensure an inclusive and positive learning programme for young people in our care.

Curriculum Time

Northampton Town Football Club Football in the Community Programme can also provide curriculum sessions in a variety of sports both indoor and outdoor for one hour either in the morning or the afternoon within the school day.

School Clubs

Northampton Town Football Club Football in the Community Programme provide a variety of clubs to support your extended school programme, assist parents with child care provision, and provide a safe, fun environment for children to learn new skills and increase their confidence and level of physical activity. The clubs are very easy to set up, as FITC will provide all application forms and registers. We can also attend your school to promote the course during one of your school assemblies. Your school must have sufficient indoor or outdoor space for the club and have a teacher on site during the session, however all children are supervised on site until collected by parents. All participants will receive a certificate or medal on completion of the course.
We offer the following clubs within schools:


• Breakfast clubs – usually run from 8am – 8:45am
• Lunchtime Clubs – flexible depending on duration of lunchtime
• After School Clubs – usually 1 hour sessions from 3:30pm – 4:30pm

Remember, Northampton Town Football Club Football in the Community programme have a group of talented, enthusiastic coaches qualified in a variety of sports other than football. As a scheme we have the ability to run the above-mentioned courses in a magnitude of sports to suit the needs of your school and its pupils.
