Duke of Edinburgh Award
Northampton Town Football in the Community is running a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Centre at Northampton Town Study Support Centre. The teenagers who are on the course are players from Northampton Town Multi Disability Club. The Award evening is a Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8pm.
The teenagers started their journey in 2009 when they enrolled for the Duke of Ed Bronze Award. After successfully completing the Bronze 12 teenagers started their silver award early in 2010 and they have almost completed the Silver which is a fantastic achievement.
At the moment they are completing their skills section by learning the rules and by playing snooker.
One of the many highlights of the award was being invited to Buckingham Palace and meeting Prince Edward.
