Northampton Town FC Boys Elite Player Development Squads play in Brighton & Hove Albion FC Triangular tournament
On Thursday 24th February 2011 and Friday 25th February 2011, Northampton Town FC Boys Elite Player Development teams travelled to Eastbourne Town FC to play in a triangular festival. The festival consisted of Brighton & Hove Albion FC, Brentford FC and ourselves. On the Thursday the festival was for the U7, U9, U11s and U13s. The festival took the format of a round robin. The U7s, U9s ,U11s and U13s played all their fixtures on grass pitches. The U7s, U11s and U13s played a one of fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion FC, while the U9s played a total of 5 games lasting for 15 minutes in duration. All age groups did very well in their respective matches.
On the Friday was the turn for the U8s, U10s, U12s and U14s to play. The fixtures were made up of the same Clubs which had been involved on the Thursday. The day went really well and was yet again well supported by parents. A big thank you goes out to all our players and staff for their time and professionalism over the two days. The next elite development fixtures are at Easter and will see age groups from U7s through to U14s travelling to Coventry City FC.
